UPDATE - May 31 – The Wildfire continues to burn in Wood Buffalo and fire crews are working throughout the region fighting the fire, and the public must drive cautiously while re-entering and traveling through this area. Public safety & health is of primary concern as the Voluntary Phased Re-entry of this area is set to begin. Air quality in the area remains a concern.

A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for all areas receiving water from the Fort McMurray water system, and water from this system must be safely and properly boiled before it is consumed. Air quality remains a concern for anyone in the area of Wood Buffalo, especially for persons with lung disease, and care needs to be used while in this area.
