Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Wildfire Alert Updated

May 22 Update, the wildfire continues to burn in the area and some Mandatory Evacuation Orders remain in place – others have been cancelled. Please go to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo’s website http://www.rmwb.ca/ for specific information. Air quality remains a concern as it could affect health, visibility and create hazardous travel conditions. Air quality information is available at https://weather.gc.ca/airquality/pages/abaq-004_e.html Further information will be communicated through local media, the Wood Buffalo Regional website listed above, Alberta Wildfire http://wildfire.alberta.ca/ and Alberta Emergency Alert.

Action to take:

Follow the directions of local authorities, avoid the area and take all necessary precautions
Any persons having trouble breathing due to smoke should seek immediate medical assistance.
