MEP – Holiday season closure

The Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) is closed December 24, 2025 to January 1, 2026, and opens January 2, 2026.

Payment deadlines

Deadline to pay

If you pay in person at your bank or credit union:

  • pay for your January 1, 2026, support payment by December 12, 2025.

Support payments are due as usual for the other ways to pay:

  • telephone banking
  • voluntary pay deduction
  • internet banking
  • authorized bank withdrawals

Getting payments

Due dates during holidays

Your support payment may be late by a few days.

We recommend preparing for this possible situation so an unexpected delay does not impact your finances.

Arrears and enforcement actions

Before December 23

Contact your compliance officer to clear up any problems about arrears or enforcement actions before December 23, 2025.

Files in default

MEP’s automated system will:

  • track late or missing payments
  • issue enforcement on files in default

Removal of enforcement actions placed on or after December 23, 2025, may not be possible until January 2, 2026.
