Aboriginal Consultation Office

The Aboriginal Consultation Office (ACO) is closed Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Thursday, January 1, 2026. 

The ACO acknowledges that there will be some First Nations, Metis Settlement and Credibly Asserted Métis Communities’ office closures, and will pause consultation activities from December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026, inclusive. This time period will not be used or included when calculating timelines for consultation.

This includes the time a First Nation, Metis Settlement or Credibly Asserted Métis Community has to:

  • respond to notification of a project
  • review and respond to project follow-ups
  • review a Record of Consultation Log

The Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction Contact Centre and the Consumer Investigations Unit will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and reopen Friday, January 2, 2026.

To submit a Consumer Investigations Unit complaint during this time, find the topic of your complaint and complete appropriate the form.

The Utilities Consumer Advocate call centre will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and reopen Friday, January 2, 2026. Customers can visit the Utilities Consumer Advocate website to submit general inquiries, which will be responded to when the call centre reopens.
