Accomplishments

We've made Alberta's largest-ever trades training infrastructure investment with 384 million for NAIT's Advanced Skills Centre, creating more than 5,500 apprentice seats annually.

Students can now verify program costs, locations and licence status through Alberta's Private Career College Registry, helping them make informed decisions and protect their educational investments.

In 2026-27, we are investing nearly $1.1 billion in affordable post-secondary education, including $182 million in scholarships, awards and grants, while capping tuition increases at 2%.

We launched expert panel to help ensure students are prepared for an AI-enabled future and success in a changing workforce. In August 2025, the expert panel on Post-Secondary Institution funding was completed.
