Overview
Starting January 1, 2027, Alberta’s automobile insurance system will transition to the Care-First model, providing Albertans with better, faster and more reliable automobile insurance. This transition requires numerous amendments to Alberta’s standard automobile insurance forms.
The following forms have been approved by the Superintendent of Insurance. While many of these amendments support the implementation of Care-First, some form amendments are unrelated to Care-First and will be posted to the appropriate webpage once that webpage has been developed. Alberta-licensed automobile insurers will be notified by email using the preferred email address recorded in the insurance company registry.
Although these forms have been approved, they do not take effect and must not be used prior to the implementation of the Care-First model on January 1, 2027.
