• NBC(AE) 2019: In force from December 1, 2019 to April 30, 2024

Alberta Building Code (ABC)

• ABC 2014: In force from May 1, 2015 to November 30, 2019
• ABC 2006: In force from September 2, 2007 to April 30, 2015
• ABC 1997: In force from June 1, 1998 to September 1, 2007
• ABC 1990: In force from September 1, 1991 to May 31, 1998

National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB)

• NECB 2017: In force from December 1, 2019 to April 30, 2024
• NECB 2011: In force from November 1, 2015 to November 30, 2019
• no prior editions of the code were adopted in Alberta
