Overview
The Alberta government manages all bridges and structures on the provincial highway network and is responsible for:
- overseeing design work
- administering construction contracts
- inspecting and preserving existing infrastructure
We provide technical guidance, develop and maintain the technical standards, and provide coordination between the regions.
See bridge file maps for locations of bridge files across the province.
