Canada Post service disruption

The Canada Post service disruption will affect all mail delivery. The Government of Alberta has a plan in place to ensure benefit cheques are distributed on time, including for Assured Income for Severely Handicapped (AISH), Income Support, Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Office of Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT), and Alberta Seniors Benefit (ASB) recipients.

To avoid any future payment delays, Albertans receiving benefits via cheque are encouraged to contact Alberta Supports to arrange for direct deposit.
