Overview
Rural East Central Regional Advisory Council (Council 9) covers communities east of Edmonton. Members of this advisory council will identify local health issues, explore potential solutions and advise government.
Council region
Rural East Central region extends north just beyond Andrew and Dewberry and south to Bashaw, Alliance and Bodo. Camrose, Lloydminster, Vermilion, Viking, Wainwright and Vegreville are also situated in the region, as well as Makaoo First Nation. This council is part of the Edmonton health corridor.

Membership
The council includes members from a wide range of backgrounds, including Albertans receiving health care services, health care workers, community leaders, elected municipal representatives and Indigenous representatives.
