Overview
Heartland Health Regional Advisory Council (Council 10) covers communities in the central area of the province. Members of this advisory council will identify local health issues, explore potential solutions and advise government.
Council region
Heartland Health region represents the communities surrounding Red Deer and spans from Hoadley and Ponoka in the north to Carstairs, East Coulee and Cavendish in the south. It extends west from the Saskatchewan border and includes Oyen, Drumheller, Innisfail and Rocky Mountain House. The Bearspaw, Chiniki, Goodstoney, O’Chiese and Sunchild First Nations are also located in the region. This council is part of the central health corridor.

Membership
The council includes members from a wide range of backgrounds, including Albertans receiving health care services, health care workers, community leaders, elected municipal representatives and Indigenous representatives.
