Holiday season closure

The Child Support Recalculation Program (RP) will be closed December 24, 2024, through January 1, 2025. RP will reopen for regular business on January 2, 2025. Avoid delays for registration and submitting income information.

The best way to submit information is through Recalculation Info Online (RIO).

Canada Post service disruption

The current Canada Post service disruption will impact correspondence to and from the Child Support Recalculation Program.

How clients can send information

Clients who normally use Canada Post to send documents have these options to send information to the Child Support Recalculation Program.

  • Registration requests:

  • Existing clients can use our secure online account system, Recalculation Information Online (RIO), to update contact information or send income information, new court orders, court applications or objections, or for your RIO registration number if you are a first-time user:

How clients will receive information

  • The Child Support Recalculation Program will attempt to minimize inconvenience to clients by continuing to process registration requests, initiate recalculations and issue Recalculation Decisions.
  • Clients can view Recalculation Decisions and other key file information through our secure online account system, RIO. Ask our staff for your RIO registration number if you are a first-time user.
  • Where possible, Child Support Recalculation Program staff will telephone clients to advise of key developments on their files or to make arrangements to fax important documents to them.
  • Staff may also email clients to request that they access RIO for newly issued Recalculation Decisions. The Child Support Recalculation Program will not send Recalculation Decisions via email without a request from the client.
