- Interpretation Bulletin 03-2025: Automobile insurance renewal protection following broker contract termination – effective June 30, 2025
- In accordance with section 792.1 of the Insurance Act, the purpose of this Bulletin is to provide Superintendent of Insurance interpretation of the adverse contractual action provisions of the Act as they apply when a contract between an insurer and an insurance broker is terminated.
- Guideline 02-2025: Automobile insurance rating and underwriting controls and sound practices guideline – effective January 15, 2025 – posted January 23, 2025
- In accordance with section 792.1 of the Insurance Act, this Guideline provides sound practices for insurer operations, controls, and governance with respect to automobile insurance rating (“rating OCG”).
- Notice 01-2025: Superintendent of Insurance 2022-24 industry-wide auto insurance premium over-charge examination – effective January 15, 2025 – posted January 23, 2025 (updated February 2025)
- This Notice is to provide details of the industry-wide automobile insurance premium over-charge examination conducted by the Superintendent of Insurance from 2022 to 2024. In connection with the examination, the Superintendent also publishes Guideline 02-2025 Automobile insurance rating and underwriting controls and sound practices.

- This Notice is to advise that Government is changing the way adjustments are made to account for inflation in select tax, benefit, and other programs, including the annual adjustment to the “minor injury cap” under the Minor Injury Regulation (MIR), which will come into effect January 1, 2025.
- Interpretation Bulletin 05-2024: Motor Vehicle Warranty Contracts, Dealership Loyalty Programs and Vehicle Protection Products (revised) – effective December 19, 2024
- Pursuant to section 792.1 of the Insurance Act, this Bulletin is to provide Superintendent of Insurance interpretation of insurance legislation with respect to products commonly marketed by automobile and equipment dealerships in conjunction with the sale of motor vehicles. This Bulletin applies to all those involved in the marketing, sale, and provision of these products.

Enforcement activities
To protect consumers and enhance public confidence in insurance, the Superintendent of Insurance monitors, investigates and takes appropriate regulatory action when there is non-compliance with the Insurance Act and Regulations under the act (see Insurance legislation, orders and agreements).
Regulatory action includes administrative penalties, cease and desist orders, compliance undertakings and court prosecutions. In all cases involving regulatory action, there will be public notification posted on this web page. Public information notices or news releases may be issued where it is in the public interest to do so.
