Health advisories issued by the Government of Alberta are listed on this page once they are no longer in effect. Active advisories are listed on the main public health advisories page.
As the operational work of Alberta’s public health authority transitions from Alberta Health Services (AHS) to Alberta Primary and Preventative Health Services (PPHS), public health advisories are now being issued here directly by PPHS.

Measles update
As of July 31, 2026, all active and standing measles exposure advisories have been rescinded and archived. There have not been any new measles cases reported and there is currently no evidence of ongoing community transmission. Alberta's public health officials will continue to monitor measles activity and respond to any future cases.
The best protection against measles is to stay up to date on immunizations.
If symptoms and signs of measles do develop, you are advised to stay home and call the measles hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before visiting any healthcare facility or provider, including a family physician clinic or pharmacy.
North Zone

Alberta Health Services (AHS) continues to manage a high number of measles cases within the North Zone, particularly in communities located in the northwest region, such as La Crete, Fort Vermilion and High Level. Alberta Health Services (AHS) continues to manage a significant number of cases of measles across the South Zone, including in individuals with no known exposure source.
