Authorizations issued under the Water Act or EPEA

Environmental Records Viewer

The Environmental Records Viewer uses a provincial map to display the location and details of applications and authorizations issued under the Water Act and the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA). You can also search for authorizations that match specific criteria and view the results in a detailed report.

The following applications and authorizations are available in the Environmental Records Viewer:

• Reclamation certificates issued under EPEA for sites regulated by Alberta’s government
• Long Term Management cases (LTM)
• Water Act surface water and groundwater licences, and preliminary certificates
• EPEA registrations and notifications related to pesticides, waste management facilities, municipal waterworks, wastewater and stormwater systems, and most industrial facilities (except for registrations for sand and gravel pits on private land)

The Authorization Viewer provides access to authorizations issued by Alberta’s government related to the Water Act and EPEA, including:

• EPEA approvals
• EPEA registrations for sand and gravel pits on private lands
• Water Act approvals
