Supporting vulnerable students, youths and families through free programs on culturally unique and nutritious recipes is the mission of Sarthak Singh and the Home Food Community Kitchen.
For the past two years, Sarthak has been a devoted leader and volunteer, where he helped source free meal ingredients from organizations, prepare packaged meal kits and coordinate free cultural cook-a-longs for participants. He also helped with creating and incorporating the organization, allowing what was once simply an idea to become reality and support over 100 participants.
Sarthak also volunteers as a student mentor supporting new Canadians and as a teacher helping children within his community with their religious studies.
As a role model and a dedicated volunteer supporting the well-being of his fellow Calgarians, Sarthak Singh is recognized as a Northern Lights Volunteer Recognition Program recipient.
