FireSmart farm and acreage
Always ensure your farming equipment is in good working order. Any small spark can start a wildfire due to dry conditions in some areas of the forest area. You should always carry firefighting equipment with you like a fire extinguisher, shovel, or a water vessel when working with heavy equipment outdoors.
Get your free fire permit
You will need a fire permit for any burning in the Forest Protection Area, except for a campfire, from March 1 to October 31.
