Non-urgent government operations are closed December 24 to January 1, reopening January 2. See the list of services available during this time.
Overview
All technicians must obtain the vehicle inspection manual that relates to the type of inspection they are completing. Each inspection manual outlines the pass or fail criteria for vehicle inspections.
Inspection facilities and technicians must produce a copy of the appropriate vehicle inspection manual at the request of a Vehicle Safety Investigator or the Registrar.
Facilities and technicians may use electronic copies of the inspection manuals as long as the inspection technician has the ability to access it during the inspection.
Failure to inspect a vehicle according to the appropriate vehicle inspection manual may result in progressive discipline.
