Overview
Each social link contains the official social media icon accompanied with the name of the social media service, such as Facebook and Twitter. Social links enable you to visit an external site for more information.
Design
Usage guidelines
Order social links by engagement preference. Default to alphabetical order if no engagement preference is given.
Use social links strategically when there is opportunity to promote a service or program.
Accessibility
The social icons are universal, proprietary designs with colours chosen for legibility.
The contrast to its background colour should be very high. That would also go for hover states.
Layout
Laid out horizontally and in alphabetical order on the global menu and footer, giving equal weight to each icon.
Size and positioning
Each icon is 24 pixel squared with a 12 pixel gap between icons.
