While some areas of the Slave Lake Forest Area have received precipitation in recent days, other areas remain dry. This has resulted in moderate fire danger for the forest area. Help prevent human-caused wildfires and use caution when working or recreating outdoors.
Wildfire situation
There are no active wildfires in the Slave Lake Forest Area.
Since January 1, 2026, the Slave Lake Forest Area has responded to 61 wildfires and approximately 41 hectares have burned.
