Seniors’ Week 2025
Apply to co-host the event in 2025. See co-host information below.
Seniors’ Week 2025 is June 2 to 8.
Seniors’ Week has been recognized since 1986 to celebrate and recognize the contributions seniors make to enhance the quality of life in Alberta. Seniors’ Week was inspired by the vision of the late Alice Modin. Almost 40 years ago, Modin began a campaign to start a seniors’ day in Strathcona County that helped pave the way for this annual event.
The week of festivities is kicked off with a provincial launch event co-hosted by the Alberta government and a community or organization.
Provincial launch co-host
The provincial launch of Seniors’ Week 2025 will be held on June 2.
Each year, Alberta's government chooses an organization or community to co-host the provincial launch event for Seniors’ Week. We are currently accepting proposals from municipalities, Indigenous communities, and senior serving organizations to co-host the 2025 Seniors’ Week Provincial Launch Event.
