Overview

If a public body, organization or health custodian has not responded adequately to your access to information request, there are steps available to you to address your concerns.

Before you request a review

If you disagree or have questions about how a public body has responded to your access to information request, your first step is to contact the public body who issued the decision to try and find a resolution.

Request a review

If you and a public body are not able to find a resolution on an access to information request, you have a right to request a review by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) of Alberta. This request must be submitted in writing to the OIPC and the public body.
