Overview

Alberta’s government works closely with partners both at home and around the world to advance opportunities for Albertans and their businesses.

The Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration regularly leads international trade missions that expand Alberta’s global market access, connect businesses with international buyers and partners and promote Alberta’s strengths and capabilities to attract investment and grow exports.

In 2025-26, the ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration led 36 international trade missions for companies across the province and these companies participated in more than 2,630 business-to-business meetings.

The ministry also hosts international delegations visiting Alberta, offers funding through the Alberta Export Expansion Program and sponsors the Trade Accelerator Program to help Alberta companies prepare for global markets.
