Alberta’s government works closely with partners both at home and around the world to advance opportunities for Albertans and their businesses.
Government-led trade missions enhance Alberta’s trade market access and help Alberta businesses diversify into new international markets. Trade missions are about helping Alberta companies and organizations connect with global contacts, buyers, partners and investors to promote their products and expand Alberta’s exports.
In 2024-25, the ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration supported 454 Alberta companies and organizations on 28 international trade missions to help attract investment and promote Albertan companies abroad.
The ministry also hosts international delegations visiting Alberta, offers funding through the Alberta Export Expansion Program and sponsors the Trade Accelerator Program to help Alberta companies prepare for entering international markets.
