COVID-19 update

Provincewide restrictions on social gatherings do not apply to co-parenting arrangements, or service visits from family care givers, health care or child care providers. However, those visits must be limited to their intended purpose and not be of a social nature.

Licensed daycare, out-of-school and preschool programs can operate as long as providers follow all public health orders and guidance for child care programs.

Child care legislation in Alberta is being updated and will come into effect on February 1, 2021. For more information, see Improving child care.

The online Child Care Claims Program (C3P) allows licensed and approved child care programs to submit their monthly claim online for all subsidy and wage top-up funding. Programs that have re-opened to provide child care for core service workers can continue submitting their claims through C3P.

For more information about using the online claims system, read the Online Child Care Claims System User Guide  (PDF, 882 KB).

Each program must ensure a staff member is made responsible for entering the monthly claim form into the online system. This individual must first get a username and password.

When a staff member no longer requires access, they must be removed from the system.

Follow these steps to get a username and password for the system or to remove a user from the system.
