Biography

Grant Hunter was sworn in as the Minister of Environment and Protected Areas on January 2, 2026, after having previously served as the Associate Minister of Water, the Associate Minister for Red-tape Reduction, and as a Parliamentary Secretary for Agri-food processing.

Prior to his service as an elected official, Grant had been an entrepreneur for most of his life and has a deep passion and understanding for small business.

Grant Hunter was first elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 and 2023 in the riding of Taber-Warner.
