The Director of Surveys office provides a variety of products for use in land surveying.
Several non-digital Land Survey-related products are available. These products are distributed by the Director of Surveys office. Products include elevation diagrams and wellsite control traverse plans.
A complete set of 225 scanned plans is available in digital Group 4 TIFF format (Tag Image Format) of Alberta Township System (ATS) elevation diagrams are available.
Included with the digital plans is a descriptive readme file and a file listing the contents of the digital set. Both of these files are available at:
Elevation diagrams are free, through electronic delivery.
Reproductions of most original surveyors’ field notes for the Alberta Township Survey are available on microfiche.
These field notes can be accessed through the Alberta Government Services Spatial Information System (SPIN).

There is a fee for each township plan accessed through SPIN, as follows:
TIFF files of wellsite control traverse plans in areas of unsurveyed territory are available. These plans show bearings, distances and monuments.
Wellsite control traverse plans are free, through electronic delivery.
