Overview

Alberta's International Offices (AIO) play a key role in supporting Alberta's International Strategy to:

  • increase market access for Alberta businesses
  • strengthen the province's reputation abroad
  • promote Alberta as a destination for international investment

Alberta Economic Development and Trade (EDT) operates the AIO network that consists of stand-alone offices and co-located offices in Canadian diplomatic posts abroad.

International service guidelines

International service guidelines​​​ apply to permanent or contract employees posted outside of Canada for more than 6 months.
