International agreements

A Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) is a formal agreement between 2 or more regions that establishes an official partnership. Each MOU differs from the other and outlines the commitments and outcomes that all parties have agreed upon.

Alberta Education works closely with the Government of Alberta's Ministry of International and Intergovernmental Relations to formalize their Memoranda of Understanding with other countries.

International relations

The Government of Alberta's Ministry of International and Intergovernmental Relations works with other government ministries to advance and develop Alberta’s strategic international interests and relationships. It also enhances Alberta's national and international presence in export development, investment attraction and government relations.
