Overview

Gathering supplies means collecting supplies you and your household need to stay safe and comfortable during severe weather or a shelter in place advisory. Keep in mind that you may not always be at home when an advisory is issued, and that a shelter-in-place advisory could last minutes or days and occur at any time of year.

Always consider the unique needs of your household when stocking up on supplies. Access to supports and services you rely on may be limited or unavailable during an emergency. You may not be at home when a shelter in place or other advisory is issued; it can happen at any time with an unknown duration.
