As Alberta continues to strengthen preventative health services, Primary and Preventative Health Services Minister Justin Wright will travel to Japan and South Korea from Sept. 4 to 12 to meet with government officials, health system leaders, preventative health screening organizations and service providers to learn from leading approaches to early detection and preventative care.
Japan and South Korea are internationally recognized for their experience delivering large-scale screening and early detection programs. This mission will provide an opportunity to learn directly from organizations delivering these services and explore practical approaches that could help strengthen preventative health care in Alberta. Discussions will focus on preventative screening, patient navigation, quality assurance, digital health tools and other approaches that support earlier disease detection and positive patient experiences.
