Overview

Each year, the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) publishes the ST 98 Alberta's Energy Reserves Supply/Demand Outlook, which, among other key energy industry statistics, includes reserve estimates of:

• crude bitumen
• crude oil
• natural gas

The Outlook includes historical statistics and 10-year forecasts.

• Industry activity report (subscribe to be notified when updated reports are available) provides data on licensing and rig activity, land sales and wells spudded.
• In addition to ST 98, AER publishes a variety of other statistical reports on energy industry activity in Alberta.
• Select statistics on energy industry are published in Open publications.
