Overview

Funding for the school year is a commitment of what each board will be paid during that school year.

We let school authorities know how much provincial funding is available by the end of April each year, instead of September when the school year has already started. The amount of funding paid to a school board is based on their 3-year weighted average enrolment, rather than a one-year enrolment count after the school year has started.

This provides more predictability in funding.
