Wildfire update

Calgary Forest Area - July 10, 2025

Moderate wildfire danger

The wildfire danger level in the Calgary Forest Area has been lowered to moderate. Cooler temperatures and scattered rain showers across the region are helping to ease wildfire conditions.

Please continue to use caution when spending time or working outdoors. Even under moderate conditions, wildfires can still start and spread.

Wildfire situation

There are currently no active wildfires in the Calgary Forest Area.

On average, 63% of wildfires in Alberta are caused by people. To help prevent wildfires, please never leave a campfire unattended and always fully extinguish it when you are done. Soak it, stir it and soak it again, until the coals are cool to the touch. Call 310-FIRE (3473) to report smoke or flames in a forested area.
