High wildfire danger

The wildfire danger in the Calgary Forest Area has climbed to high, with the southern portion reaching very high. This means wildfires can start easily and spread quickly under current conditions. Continued high temperatures are likely to keep the wildfire danger elevated this week. Strong winds later in the week could further increase the potential for wildfires.

There are currently no active wildfires in the Calgary Forest Area.

Over the past few days, firefighters responded to and extinguished three wildfires, CWF027, CWF028, and CWF029, each approximately 0.01 hectares in size.
