This program is by invitation only.

Overview

The Association Development Program (ADP) supports Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs), Disability Sport Organizations (DSOs), and Multisport Service Organizations (MSOs) to deliver a wide range of sport opportunities across the province.

This program supports the Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (SPAR) branch’s goal of supporting affordable access to sport and recreation opportunities through funding for the delivery of sport, physical activity, and recreation programming to improve Alberta youth and families’ health and wellbeing.

The ADP provides operational funding to:

  • build capacity across the non-profit sport system
  • increase the number of Albertans participating in sport
  • promote long-term athletes and lifelong participation in sport
  • support the development of quality coaches, officials and volunteer leaders
  • assist Albertans persuing athletic excellence

Supporting PSOs, DSOs, and MSOs enables a quality sport delivery system that strives to create assessable, safe and welcoming sport environments that provide age-appropriate sport development for Albertans.
