Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Training
Each municipality has a Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) that hears appeals from municipal subdivision and development authorities. SDAB decisions shape the community and affect the lives of developers, neighbours, citizens and businesses. It is important that the public have confidence in the quality of these decisions and the decision-making process.
See the 2018 SDAB Manual and Fact Sheets.
The SDAB Training Curriculum Order and the SDAB Training Reporting Order were established to assist municipalities with developing and delivering SDAB training that meets the requirements in the Municipal Government Act.
For more information on training or the material contained in the SDAB Manual, please call the Municipal Services Branch (780-427-2225 toll free 310-0000) and ask for a Planning Advisor.
