The Municipal Measurement Index (MMI) allows users to compare selected fiscal indicators for different municipalities.
The MMI dashboard produces several dynamic, customizable visualizations based on data submitted by municipalities as well as data collected from other public sources.
Using the MMI
The Guide to Municipal Dashboards (PDF, 1.7 MB) provides instructions on how to use the MMI and the other municipal dashboards.
MMI visualizations include:
- Residential Tax Rate
- Non-Residential Tax Rate
- Municipal Tax Levy
- Composition of Assessment
- Municipal Debt Per Capita
- Long Term Debt – Debt Limit Ratio
- Revenue and Expenses Per Capita
- Accumulated Surplus Per Capita
A municipality index is generated based on equalized assessment, population and area. Selecting municipalities within +/-10 of their index will yield the best result. Data is refreshed regularly.
