Introduction

Alberta’s government is committed to supporting reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, communities and organizations by providing funding that enhances local economic development and Indigenous languages, cultures and arts initiatives.

The Indigenous Reconciliation Initiative provides funding of up to $100,000 per grant for cultural or economic projects through 2 streams.

Streams

Cultural Stream

Funds Indigenous-led initiatives that enhance, protect or revitalize Indigenous languages, cultures and arts.

Economic Stream

Funds Indigenous-led capacity and opportunity development projects that improve economic outcomes for communities.
