Information on GreenTRIP, which funded new and expanded public transit until 2016.
GreenTRIP is no longer accepting applications. The $2 billion in funding for GreenTRIP has been allocated. The final-call approved projects were announced on December 3, 2016.
GreenTRIP was launched in July 2008 to provide one-time capital funding to municipalities to support new and expanded public transit.
In July 2016, the program criteria was expanded to allow municipalities to apply for funding for a broader range of transit projects.
