High wildfire danger

Continued warm temperatures and dry conditions have increased the wildfire danger in the Grande Prairie Forest Area to high. Wildfires can start and spread easily in these conditions. A fire advisory is now in effect. Be cautious when spending time outdoors and avoid activities that could potentially start a wildfire.

Fire advisory

A fire advisory is in effect in the Grande Prairie Forest Area due to hot and dry conditions.

Under this advisory

  • Existing fire permits remain valid
  • New fire permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis
  • Campfires are allowed

Prohibited

  • Any burning without a valid fire permit is prohibited, except for campfires.
