Overview

Children learn language every day. Parents, caregivers and professionals play an important role in children’s speech and language development. The Talk Box resources on this page are designed to help adults encourage language-rich learning environments for children.

Talk Box

The Talk Box was put together by speech-language pathologists. It has everyday tips, information about what to expect in speech and language development, and information on when and where to get help. The Talk Box consists of information for preschool children, from birth to 5 years and for school-aged children from 5 to 12 years.

Talking is Key video

“Talking is Key” is a video that gives everyday tips for parents to help their children learn language from 3 months to 5 years old.

Talking is Key is available in English and 11 voice overs. Watch the Talking is Key videos below in Windows Media Player.
