How information is collected when using the Covid Records Chatbot service.

Protecting privacy

The purpose of this service is to provide Albertans with general support and advice for navigating the Alberta Covid Records Online Portal. This service does not require any of your identifying personal or health information to function and it cannot provide you with direct, personalized support to obtain your QR code.

Please refrain from entering any identifying personal or health information, such as your name, email address, phone number, personal health number, or vaccine information, this information is not necessary for access to this service.

Information storage and retention

By submitting information to this service, you acknowledge and represent to Alberta Health:

  1. This service retains some information for a limited period of time before the information is purged.
    • Where Structured identifying health or personal information can be identified, such as your name, email address, phone number and personal health number it will be rejected from input and/or will be deleted from this service prior to storage.
    • Non-identifying information, and unstructured personal or health information you enter into this service may be retained for a limited period of time before it is deleted.
  2. Information entered into the service may be used to monitor the use of the service, help improve the service provide better general support and advice for navigating the AB Covid Records Online Portal.
