Condominium property legislation engagement

Owners, boards, managers and industry partners can share their thoughts on proposed approaches to condominium property legislation.

Overview

We are seeking input from the condominium sector to address issues that they have identified which include chargebacks, the design of a Condominium Dispute Resolution Tribunal, terminations, accountability of an interim board, developer turnover meeting timelines and contributions and technical analysis requirements for new builds.

The Condominium Property Act and Condominium Property Regulation provide the legislative framework for the governance and operation of condominiums in Alberta. Both have been subject to a series of amendments since 2014.
