Introduction
Chronic wasting disease (CWD) belongs to a group of related diseases called Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSEs). This fatal degenerative disease occurs in both farmed and wild cervids. Currently, no treatments or vaccines are available for CWD.
See the Overview for more about CWD, its prevention and control, and how to report it.
