Overview
The Assisted Living Navigation Portal is an online tool that makes it easy for Albertans and their families to find and compare continuing care homes and supportive living accommodations in the province. By answering a short questionnaire or typing a location into the tool’s search bar you will be provided with clear and easy to read information to help you and your family make informed decisions about your continuing care and assisted living needs.
Features
The first phase of the online tool features:
- an interactive questionnaire that provides tailored recommendations about appropriate continuing care homes and supportive living accommodations
- plain language guides to help you access recommended care options
- a searchable map that shows continuing care homes and supportive living accommodations near you
- a comprehensive directory of continuing care homes and supportive living accommodations
You can also expect to find fees, potential availability, number of licensed spaces, and contact information for supportive living accommodations. Some spaces can be accessed directly by contacting the site while others can only be accessed following an assessment.
The Assisted Living Navigation Portal will roll out in several phases, adding information and capabilities over time to offer Albertans a responsive, dynamic portal for assisted living in the province. Future updates will add home and community care to the portal so Albertans can see the assisted living options available to them and make the decision that works best for themselves and their families.
