COVID-19 Updates: Taking steps to return to normal.
On November 16, he was recognized for helping people who experience homelessness during COVID-19.
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Maziyar started a group called YYC Aid to help people experiencing homelessness during COVID-19.
Maziyar and other volunteers are working to provide vulnerable people with clothing and hand-written letters of support. He is also encouraging members of the community to make monetary donations to homeless shelters. The letters of support are meant to provide people experiencing homelessness with human connection at a time when the services that they normally access may not be available.
According to his nominator, “Maziyar is an outstanding individual who has done so much to aid our community during these times of need.”
Honour the contributions of an amazing individual or group.
