Jim Gray is a supporter of Momentum, a Calgary-based non-profit organization that helps increase financial literacy for new citizens of Canada and provides financial coaching for individuals and businesses. When a small florist shop that used Momentum’s services in the past was experiencing financial hardship caused by the 2013 Calgary flood, the collapse in oil prices over the past few years and the COVID-19 pandemic, Jim stepped up to help.
To support the business, Jim made a substantial donation to the florist with the condition that he would use a smaller portion of those funds to offset the cost of flowers ordered when their financial state returns to good health. This will, he hopes, allow them to weather the storm and get through to the other side.
