Location: Calgary, Alberta
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hindu Society of Calgary has been providing food hampers to seniors and anyone in the community who may need support, including people who have lost jobs, single parents, and international students. Volunteers have been dropping off food hampers to anyone who is self-isolating or can’t collect their hampers.
Members of the Hindu Society of Calgary have been answering questions about the pandemic and directing community members to appropriate services and resources. The Hindu Society has also set up a community food bank for anyone in need. Thank you to the members of the Calgary Hindu Society for going above and beyond to support vulnerable people in Calgary.
