Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The M.D. of Greenview has updated an Evacuation Order due to Wildfire in the Sturgeon Lake area.

Wildfires continue to burn throughout the M.D. of Greenview.

Area: The evacuation order remains in effect for everyone South of TWP RD 720, West of RR 223, North of TWP RD 712, West of RR 231, South of TWP RD 705A, and West of RR 230 (up to the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation East Boarder). Young's Point Provincial Park is no longer under evacuation order.

Affected areas (3):

• Sturgeon Lake 154
• Greenview No. 16
• Sturgeon Lake 154A

Action to take:

• Everyone in the described area must remain evacuated
• Everyone else in the M.D
• of Greenview must stay ready to evacuate on short notice
• Heavy smoke remains in the area
• Check Alberta Wildfire Status Map for the most up to date wildfire information
• Contact Greenview Emergency Social Services at 780-524-7603 for information
