Area: This Evacuation Order has expanded. It is now in effect for everyone in the following area: Highway 49/RR 222 South to TWP RD 700, West to RR 240 and North to TWP RD 722 including Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.
Description: The Sturgeon Lake Fire Complex is currently burning West/North West of Valleyview. With worsening weather conditions, everyone in the affected area must evacuate immediately.
Instruction: If you are in the affected area, evacuate immediately. Gather pets, important documents and medication, enough food, water and supplies for at least 3 days. Evacuate to Grande Prairie. A reception center has been established at the Bonnetts Energy Centre located at 10017 99 Ave in Grande Prairie. alberta.ca/emergencyalert, local media for updates.
